| The Chesapeake-Union Township Fire Department was founded in 1959 and is in existence today to provide fire and rescue services to the residents of the Village of Chesapeake and the surrounding outlying areas of Union Township. |
| We hope the information contained within these pages are helpful and beneficial. The Chesapeake-Union Township Fire Department is a 29 member all volunteer fire department. Our Department is ISO class 5 rated and operates out of 1 station located in the Village of Chesapeake. Our response area is 22 square miles and consists of residential and rural areas. Due to the generosity of the tax payers, private donors, and grants we are able to provide superb fire and rescue services with the most up to date equipment available. Our volunteer members are all certified and trained using current methods and NFPA standards. Our members provide a valuable service while being everyday citizens in the community. We invite you to drop by the fire station and have a look around. We also offer tours and fire prevention education programs by appointment.
